Word On The Street maybe very bad news: Obama must "Restore Trust" in the FED Gov.
People are not happy to see TRAP/Bail-Out money go to banks to pay debts and create new mergers. Many people were feeling disenfranchised through the Bush years and especially with all the corruption and scandals both in politics and in the Financial Industry. So, the "Talking Heads" on TV have made a good point that the first order of the Obama Administration will be to establish trust, so that the first 100 Days agenda can get passed in both the House and Senate.
Without trust reflected in National Polls and with constituents of congressmen, the next bailout bill will suffer and languish. Pork and Earmarks are ways we will suffer for the passage.

Diaglog Universal Healthcare: forget partisanship, Let's talk
Dialog on Universal Health care, let's talk: forget partisanship.
Jim;
You are a business administrator for the US DOD and have 25 plus years in service. How is it you never learned to debate or use logic. And how could you send those emails that make you look like a nitwit schmuck.
Hey you are a nice guy and I know your values make you the nice guy that you are. So maybe this is something we can learn together - about how to lay out convincing logic instead of Slander, innuendo, and mystical fabrications.
Now back to Health care. I really want to know how Americans are supposed to have Thrived when HMOs and Health Insurance Agencies have incentives in place to deny payments to enrol lees. I'm not even talking about denials of policies to people with previous diabetes, heart attacks, strokes that constitute a risk and Loss payments to Insurance companies. You probably know someone denied treatment. Remember when Cataract Surgery came out, but no one could get approval? I remember bone marrow transplant as being not authorized and considered experimental.
You can't deny that people die and are refused service when they have an HMO or health insurance. But you family could be at risk of losing all you savings. It is a case where you are the person we are talking about in Universal Health care.
Jim, what you heard about the reality or cost of Universal Coverage is just not true. Paulson has thrown around more money than it would take to start this program (as I remember stated by the Medicare President).
Jim; Foreigners are afraid to visit the US without a health policy because the costs in our hospitals are through the roof. A series of simple operations can bankrupt any of us without adequate coverage. You might find yourself on early retirement planning to assault someone with a gun at the HMO or Hospital for refusal of service. You could therefore go to jail by a stretch of the imagination.
We have Socialized Police, Fire, DHS, DOD, schooling K-12, roadwork, Social Security, Medicare for retirement, ...there are tons of current government functions we could name.
There are many reasonable and successful systems overseas ...the same ones that politicians continually lie about.
Jim, The number one reason that we don't have Universal Health care is that insurance companies don't want to lose the profit margins. Insurance Companies have the highest profits of any industry and we would be lucky to work for them. Dedicated individuals and universities would carry on advancements and discoveries more efficiently that behemoth industrial giants. American scientist want to succeed and want to make a name for themselves and we must have one of the biggest workforces in the world to continue after universal health care.
Correct me here; Hillary failed to create new health care reform because insurance companies spent $100 Million or Billion lobbying. Then we have to throw on the Pharmacies Lobbying.
Lobbying is the tip of the "Follow the Money Iceberg"
There is a lot of money at stake for industry. Don't listen to any politicians on this issue, Jim. It is a war for the Money of the Middle Class.
Please respond with your logical comments.

Election 2008, What are your most importanat issues??
Election 2008, What are your most important issues???
Health care, Iraq War, Corporate Welfare, Globalization of Jobs, Secure Borders, Immigration, Corruption, Lobbying in Washington, Federal Debt, Business Ethics, or the Economy...I've gotten tired or burned out on the war, since I anticipated that we would go into Iraq and all the implications of what that meant in humans costs and why we were going. Hopefully everyone will know by November 4th the costs to the US in terms of US Debt. Being an American seems to mean sometimes we don't worry about the cost, specific plans, success strategies, end state objects, specific milestones that need to be met, etc. America is just so rich that our budget hasn't been something that most Americans have had to worry about for more than a decade.
In my eyes we have spent too much on war and haven't planned for timely success, but rather planned for longterm occupation as a type of peace-making force.
I really have to hammer the press along with the US Congress and Senate about the lack of strategic planning and budget execution with regard to Iraq and Afghanistan.
I have a couple of provocative videos from interviews of Micheal Moore in Youtube.com. Micheal Moore gets in Wolfblitzers Face. You have to hand it too Micheal Moore for his films forecasting true trends or picking important current events 1). GM Outsourcing/Globalization in the US auto industry 2). Going to War in Iraq's human cost and questionable strategic value 3). Health Care Industry problems in the US.
You've seen the documentary news show about "Doctors without Borders Annual Visits to the USA to treat the uninsured"?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_QoffvYQpw&feature=related With Bill Maher on HBO on his film "SICKO" and points out how his films haven't enjoyed support for change.

150 K Protest Government in Mexico: Country is out of Balance
150,000 People Stand Up and Protest in Mexico's capital against violent crime. People finally speak for what they have been withholding. A moment like a revolution. A significantly emotional event that may be a turning point not just a moment that informs the government.
Will the government of Mexico take action on the anguish voiced from the masses of people? Some in Mexico have really woken up to action after years or decades of pain in communities or families. It is historical to see this type of mass action in any nation.
Is this a story about crime, poverty, activism, better government or the nature of all men and civilizations. Without the poverty or motivation for success, would there be the drug crime and kick-backs? Or would we still have bad violent criminals, because some men are just bad.

The National "Withhold" Against Congress & Senate
Just think with all the opinions out there from TV/Radio Hosts...We are all pretty sure the politicians either don't believe the Extreme Right or Left or...They are actively trying to paint and shape national politics with a different paradigm.
"The Withhold" is anything I could be holding back from the relationship I have with my politicians that might damage the relationship. It just seems to me the relationship is already damaged. I don't really think I have access to my Federal politicians. I am lucky though that I am not poor or have flood damaged home or suffer from competition from a subsidized business.

Objective-Setting Teaches Paradigms, Politics and the World
Money, Special Interests, and Lobbies are the problem...along with strategies without substantive policies or platforms.
Many Americans are burned-out with the General Election only Months away and no sign of clear platforms. Strategic moves by Republicans and Democrats prevents straight talk. I have wondered for 25 years or more what forum would produce lucid plans and ideas.
It would be better for all of us to work on creating a forum that forces elected officials and others to put out plans for their office...I used to believe that politicians couldn't afford the TV air time, now I just think politicians should be forced to put out substantive messages on free blocks of network or cable channels. I have to admit taking all the big money out of national politics, getting rid of foreign and corporate lobbies sounds good on the surface. And it does seem that the Middle Class doesn't have a lobby. Money is the problem and removing money is the solution. Some how everyone needs representation in the Government, but wonder if that ends up shorting somebody.
I realize that through history socialist have decried capitalism or the evils of money. I am not doing that. Transparent accounting is accepted in stock markets, financial accounting and in politics. The issue here is tracking millions of dollars in small and large donations.

US Government Budget Responsibility
This is an old story, but it is not as old as the USA.
Why are we not paying off the Federal Debt that will soon be $10 Trillion Dollars? Because there is no motivation for the US Congress and Senate to address it. The congress gets Kudos for spending money. Bigger Kudos go to congress when money is spent on the crisis of the day. The congress doesn' get paid, elected or recognized by interest groups, PACs, or lobbies for planning for this country's Future.
In Accounting in any country there are guiding principals that keep organization out of trouble with the Law. There are two kinds of Accounting laws. One is for all American Businesses and the second is for the US Federal Government.

World News Leaves Us wanting to Live Correctly
Clearly, World News leaves us wanting to live "Correctly", because Individual and Group Interests will always look out for themselves and attempt to paint themselves in the best light. It is a matter of being passive living in ignorant bliss...or having to take action to understand what is happing with politics and the global world. Once we see the influence of Socialism, Conservatives, Liberalism, Unionism, Anti-Capitalism, Capitalism, Corruption, Power-Seeking, and Discrediting other interest groups or the common man...then we can step back and start to formulate and ponder what our Values really are.
I feel that in the University and in the Corporate world, goals and objectives are what matter the most. In fact, every organization these days evaluates their leaders and executives either based on a "buddy" level or on a "goals and objectives" level. So the common man is not the highest in the mind of people who have careers to make. True we have had unions, Ralph Nader, and the rise of Occupational Health and Safety to help look out for us. But every oganization has motivation to find cheaper labor either overseas or through automation.
So what are the rippling effects of Globalism?
Could American Immigration Enforcement and Policy now be influenced by Big Business and Global Out Sourcing?
Could Foriegn ownership of American Treasury Debt, American Corporations, American media, and American Real Estate be a National Security issue with regard to concerns with American Wealth, American jobs, American Retirement, American Inheritances, American Education, and American Infrastructure like Roads, Bridges, and Ports?
